Nov 2019 Pack Meeting!

We played “turkey in a bag”, handed out achievements, and met our newest Scouts!

For the Operation Gratitude project, we made greeting cards for first responders, veterans, new recruits, and troops deployed overseas, as a way to say thanks.

Earn Free Stuff and a Pick from the Prize Table!

Popcorn sales have begun! These sales are a very important fundraiser for the pack and scouting. That’s why children earn 25% of their sales in Scout Bucks. You can use Scout Bucks for trips, gear, uniforms, and pack fees.

We are bringing back the POPCORN PRIZE Table for those who sell $150 or more in Popcorn.

There are only a few weeks left to sell – all orders and monies need to be to Nicole by October 23rd. You can ask Nicole for popcorn and go door to door or run your own show and sell at a church, office space, fair, etc. If you’re interested in setting up a market show and sell, or just need some help please contact Nicole.

You can also set up an online profile and sell to friends and family. New this year, online shipping is free! Use https://www.trails-end.com/registration to get started!

Pack Meeting 2019-09-15 was a (potato) blast!

Our first pack meeting of the school year kicked off with constructing and testing air cannons in Prospect Hill Park. Our cub scouts helped assemble the cannons out of plastic piping, pumped them full of air with a bicycle pump, and blasted the potatoes over the road with a twist of a handle. Most of the spud projectiles were never to be seen again!

For more information about Pack 250 and how you could be exercising your math and science skills like this, check out our page on How To Join!

Welcome to Cub Scouts 2019!

The Pack Committee has been busy this summer and has put together a great Pack calendar full of activities for all to enjoy!

Our first two Pack meetings will not be held at the school so please pay attention to the locations below. Also, this year we are changing how we run our Popcorn Fundraiser. Each Scout will earn a portion of the funds raised that can be used to pay for activities or dues. More details are in this fundraising section of this letter.

Popcorn

Popcorn sales are for Boy Scouts what cookies are to Girl Scouts. This year we have decided to give a direct incentive to Scouts and Families to sell Popcorn. Each Scout will earn 25% of the sales that can be used to pay for Pack membership dues, activity fees other the purchase of Scout related items.

You may pick up an order sheet that can be used to sell door to door to friends and families. The pack also has popcorn available for pickup that can be used to sell outside store locations or while doing door to door sales. If you would like to pick up popcorn to sell, please contact Nicole (nicolerhiggins@gmail.com).
